Chuky TheOutCome - Bruk Dem Heart
Live & Direct at YouTube

The Birmingham raised breakthrough Dancehall Artist, Chuky TheOutcome. His name “Chuky”, (inspired by the American Slasher horror film series created by Don Mecini) although a street name adopted to reflect his eclectic personality, it was his ability to entertain that allowed him to rise to prominence in the West Midlands urban scene.

A 5 year stand still put his music career on hold. During this time, his father was murdered in 2009, and he had to care for a bed-bound grandfather on his own, while facing numerous court cases. Chuky persevered through all of this subsequently dubbing his new name “Chuky” with “TheOutcome”. A title that truly emphasises the metamorphosis he experienced following his trials and tribulations.

Despite this 5 year stand still. Chuky managed to preserve his passion for music, with his rebirth as Chuky TheOutcome. He knew the best place to cultivate his craft after this long period of inactivity was Jamaica. The home and school of reggae music, a place that would truly put his skills and talents to the test. A place that many artists that Chuky looks up to refined their skills as artists, such as Sean Paul and Vybz Kartel.
Chuky capitalised on many opportunities out in Jamaica. He was introduced to MOBO award winning artist Gyptian, Through a mutual friend. This led to Chuky and Gyptian collaborating on a song and shooting a music video together.
Following this Chuky returned to the UK, to his surprise, the song had been A-listed on Capital One XTRA, alongside a distribution deal with VP Records.

Recognising Jamaica’s potential after “Burning from the Heart ft. Gyptian” went viral. He returned to Jamaica, with hopes to take advantage of the overseas dancehall scene. On the same day he arrived he created a song that would galvanise his position among dancehall greats, “Bamboo Man”. Performing on Jamaica’s most infamous sound systems, including Stone Love (a group that took part in the popular Red Bull Culture Clash). Bamboo man has since cut over 250 dubplates and he has performed at numerous Caribbean road shows, has been featured in Newspapers such as Jamaica Star, The Gleaner, British Newspaper the Voice, as well as TV Music Shows such as Entertainment report and Fiwi Choice among countless other mainstream TV stations across the Caribbean. Even in UK, popular figures such as BBC Radio One Extra’s Seani B caught wind of Bamboo Man and contacted Chuky personally for a dubplate.
Chuky owes much of his success to his intellect and entrepreneurial wit. At every corner of his life and subsequent career, Chuky has overcome the adversity and financial volatility of his career choices.

Grantie Asher - Black Skin Live & Direct at YouTube

Paul Grant (born in Huddersfield on 21st December 1966), better known by his stage name “Grantie Asher”, is a singer/songwriter who specializes in reggae/lovers rock, but who occasionally likes to venture into different genres. Grant discovered that he had a talent for music as a little boy. He would sometimes sneak into the front-room when his parents were out and play his dad’s records; a mixture of Blue Beat, Motown, Reggae and Jim Reeves. On Sunday he attended church where he got involved in the church band and started to play the drums. From there Grantie got involved in the church choir. He explains “I was so good, they stuck me right at the back, so no one could hear me (laugh)”.
From there Grantie discovered he had a vocal talent. After a few years,he left the church and ventured out into the big wide world (Huddersfield) to further his musical career. He subsequently became a member of a sound system called Armagedeon. Grantie experimented with “toasting” and to his surprise he was really good ”I remember other sound members saying I was really good and when we played out, the audience really showed their appreciation”. Grantie’s toasting was swiftly followed by him singing whilst he was a member of Amargeddeon sound. “As we’re on the subject of Armageddeon Sound, I’d like to send big shouts going out the man-dem; D-Bow General, Robbie Rue, Daddy Lee, T-Dread and Daddy Admiral for providing me with a stepping stone”.
As time went by a producer from Luton named Sydney Luddy Crooks heard about this singer called “Grantie Asher” and approached him and asked him would he be interested in moving to Luton to further his singing career. Grantie did not hesitate to oblige. Grantie recorded four songs with Crooks (Pioneer International Records); “Something Special”, “Don’t Play That Song”, “Come lnto My Life” and “Wheel And Come”. That is where that story ended. At the end of these recording they parted company on bad terms. Grantie then moved to London in 1989 and hooked up with Passion Records where he released a double ‘A’ side record called “If It Was Love” followed by a duet with Paulette Tajah entitled “Love or Physical” “Which if I remember rightly, got to No.1 in the Black Echo’s Reggae Charts” he recalls. Around this time Grant was a supporting act for Maxi Priest and Chaka Demus and Pliers.
He sang at the Podium Nightclub regularly and had regular involvements in stage shows in and around London and The Midlands. As Grantie’s musical career progressed, he moved on to experiment with a different genre of music; Urban Soul.

He started working with a production company called Rhythem Productions. During that time he entered a competition on KISS FM with a cover version song called “Do For Love” originally sung by Bobby Caldwell. Grantie won the competition, in which the prize was 1,000 pressed copies of his tune. In 2004 Grantie auditioned for a TV program called “Stars In Your Eyes” and was successful in being able to perform as Luther Vandross. To his surprise, Grantie won his heat and came 6th place in the actual finals, Grantie recalls “It was nice whilst it lasted, but nothing nuh sweet like reggae music”.
Presently, working with producer Vybz from Starrvybz Entertainment. Grantie has scored a massive under ground hit in the song called “Black Skin” a great inspiring & self uplifting song. This break through hasn’t happened in a long while since Kofi “Black Pride”
This track can be heard on any UK & international radio at any time as this song is gaining great attention whenever played and is being recognized as one of the best songs from grantie. ‘Black Skin’ focuses on the issues of being black and proud. Grantie will continue to record with Starrvybz Entertainment on future projects.
